About our fleet
The Technical stuff
All three camper vans :
- Have 2 litre fuel injection air cooled engines
- Need unleaded petrol
- Are left hand drive
- Have a user friendly "manual" on board
- Have roof racks but a disappointing lack of wardrobe space for girls
As our campers are almost 30 years old we hope you will not mind if we ask that you treat them tenderly. They run very nicely at up to 65mph but if you are likely to be in a hurry, you may wish to consider a racier vehicle for your trip.
All the camper vans are regularly serviced (thanks to VW Bulli Barn) but, as we are sure you will appreciate, we cannot rule out the possibility of a breakdown whilst out on hire to you. We do of course provide AA breakdown cover and, as an added precaution, some useful spares on board each camper in case the AA man does not have them in stock.
Ginger Rogers - our new lady joins the fleet
Here she is at last. Ginger is a 1973 1800 Automatic T2. Here are a few preliminery photographs.

Ginger Rogers is now on the road! We have availability for August! The rear seat converts to a double bed and there are two child hammocks, one in the roof and one across the front cab. Additional sleeping can be facilitated in an attachable awning with a zipped sleeping compartment. Ginger Rogers can seat 5 so at last we can help those of you with larger families. New seat belts have been fitted. The rear seat has one 3 point belt and one lap belt. Tne rear facing buddy seat has a 3 point seat belt and the front seats have 3 point seat belts. New radio/cd player fitted.
There is an electric hook up serving an interior 3 pin plug. The cool box is not refrigerated but should keep things pretty cool with the ice blocks that we provide you with. As with all of our fleet, Ginger is LHD. Our customers never report this as having been a problem but if you are a little nervous of being on the left, being an automatic may give you peace of mind - no gears to think about, just sit back and enjoy the 1970's driving experience!
About the beds:
The hammock in the roof space is as a rough guide suitable for children between 6 & 12years. It measures 1m 59 x 55cm
The hammock that fits across the front bunk measures 1m 40 x 95cm
The rear seat reclines to a bed measuring 1m 95 (6ft6) x 1m 17cm
