Ginger Rogers

Ginger Rogers is a 1973 1800 automatic T2.  The rear seat converts to a double bed (1m95 x 1m17) and there are two child hammocks, one in the roof (1m59 x 55cm) and one across the front cab (1m40 x 95cm).  Additional sleeping can be facilitated in an attachable awning with a zipped sleeping compartment (double airbed and pump available).  With the awning in situ, you can sleep with the sliding side door open as you will have created one large integral space.  Ginger Rogers can seat 5 so at last we can help those of you with larger families.  New seat belts have been fitted.  The rear seat has one 3 point belt and one lap belt.  Tne rear facing buddy seat has a 3 point seat belt and the front seats have 3 point seat belts.     

Your equipment is cleverly stowed away under the rear seat and the buddy seat leaving room in the overhead cupboard and wardrobe unit for your belongings.  Life on board a camper is cosy but you soon get accustomed to your VW style nomad living.  Tea, coffee and sugar are provided for you, these are stored in the sink/cool box unit. 

There is an electric hook up serving an interior 3 pin plug.  You will have a heavy duty 2 ring gas stove on board for alfresco cooking with plenty of gas provided.  If you are camping with electric hook up facility and would like an additional 2 ring electric hob, please ask.  The cool box is not refrigerated but should keep things pretty cool with the ice blocks that we provide you with.  You may like to take along a plug in cool box for longer periods.  As with all of our fleet, Ginger is LHD.  Our customers never report this as having been a problem but if you are a little nervous of being on the left, being an automatic may give you peace of mind - no gears to think about, just sit back and enjoy the 1970's driving experience! Radio and CD player in situ.

On collection of your camper, there is room in the paddock for you to practice your driving.  We are also very happy to come on a test drive with you should you so wish.
