Colonel Mustard
Colonel Mustard is our 1976 camper van. He came to us from Monks Eleigh but originally from Sweden!

Gorgeous Colonel Mustard is a lovely bright sunny vehicle.  He  sleeps two people in his comfortable full-width queen sized bed (with additional hammock for young child if required).   When in camper mode, he comes supplied with drive-away awning or sun canopy for additional seating /sleeping and/or living space.  If you wish, you can choose one of our awnings that has a zip-up sleeping compartment sleeping another two people. When in 'camper mode' Colonel can seat 5 passengers (x4 3 point seat belts and x1 lap belt).

He has an enormous sun roof that allows you to lie in bed and look up at the stars on a clear and balmy night or watch the clouds go by as you wait for the kettle to boil on a sunny morning.  There is nothing quite like it!

The Colonel's special feature is that he can be hired as a camper or an eight seater (but not both at the same time) depending on your preference. Please let us know what you would like when booking.

Camper set up:

As there are no fitted wardrobes or cupboards, the bed is the full width of the van. With new foam cushions and blackout-lined curtains, the Colonel is very conducive to a good night's kip.

Do not be put off by the lack of wardrobe/sink unit... all the equipment you will require for your camping trip is cleverly stored away in the two box seats and beneath the rear seat.  This includes the sturdy two ring gas camping stove, gas, tea, coffee, sugar, tea towels, crockery, utensils, cleaning equipment and everything that you need for your camp kitchen.   To be honest, campsite facilities are so good these days that we rarely use our camper sink units for anything more than brushing teeth.  Much easier to take your bowl and equipment (all on board) to the larger facilities.  Cooking is alfresco in the awning or sun canopy which comes included in the hire price for this camper.  A cool box is also on board (which runs on the cigarette lighter whilst traveling or mains hook up when camped).  We can  supply you with a campsite electric hook up/extension lead. 

Colonel Mustard is also the perfect VW fun bus for birthday surprises, proms and weddings (honeymoon optional extra !)  for an individual and cool look that friends and relatives can only admire!  Please take your shoes off if posing for pics out of his sunroof ! Please note, we do not provide a chauffeur service.
