What's Included

Whether you are hiring a camper van for a prom, long weekend or a week or two, the following are included in the cost of hire:

  • AA breakdown cover
  • Insurance for one driver assuming full UK licence without endorsement
  • 75 miles per day of hire
  • All necessities for a camping trip including utility equipment, cooker, tea, coffee, sugar, crockery, pots and pans, utensils first aid and tool kits, you name it, hopefully we have thought of it (Please see inventory table below). Freshly laundered mattress protector for the beds supplied & tea towels.  Double bedding packs can be hired at £20 sleeping bags at £5

Points to note in relation to insurance

  • If you are not a UK licence holder, our insurers require that you produce an International Driving Licence.
  • Any endorsements on UK licence may attract a loading to the insurance premium which will be payable in addition to your hire costs.
  • A second driver can be arranged at additional cost.
  • Our insurance policy requires the driver to meet the first £1,000 of every claim. This is known as the insurance excess. We can however offer you the opportunity to reduce this excess to £350 on payment of collision damage waiver charge (CDW) of £8.67 per day of hire.

Points to note in relation to mileage

  • We include in the hire charges 75 miles per day of hire without additional charge.
  • If you exceed this mileage allowance, we will charge the additional mileage at the rate of 20 pence per mile.

 

In addition to the equipment provided as standard, you may wish to hire some of the following optional extras:

  • Awning (drive away tunnel awning, with or without sleeping compartment) Please note that with some of our packages, an awning or sun canopy is included in the hire charge
  • Awning heaters
  • Bike rack
  • Inflatable beds/camp beds
  • Picnic accessories (tables, adult chairs, child stools)
  • Pillows
  • Sleeping bags
  • Sun canopy
  • Tents (2 or 4 berth)
  • Windbreaks

Many of our accessories such as sleeping bags and tents and windbreaks are from the Cath Kidston range.

If you are hiring the camper van for more than one night, we strongly recommend that you hire a drive-away awning or sun canopy from us. Our experience is that, lovely though they are, the camper vans can feel somewhat cramped if it is raining for any length of time!
